Our Story

 At the heart of Michi Wellness lies a deeply personal journey, a story of resilience, self-discovery, and a commitment to holistic well-being. For our founder, Han, the inspiration to establish Michi Wellness didn't stem from a singular moment but rather a culmination of transformative experiences.

 The initial spark ignited during a pivotal point in Han's life when faced with a herniated disc injury. The support and expertise of a mentor, who also happened to be a friend and massage therapist, played a crucial role in his recovery. This marked the beginning of a profound understanding of the potential of therapeutic techniques and their impact on well-being.

 Another significant chapter unfolded with the loss of a loved one, Han's sister. Amidst the emotional turmoil, he navigated the bare essentials of life, a journey that required meticulous attention to basic needs like eating, sleeping, and pursuing education. This period of intense focus laid the foundation for Han's belief in the power of prioritizing well-being, both physical and emotional.

 The third transformative moment occurred when Han decided to discontinue the use of ADHD medication. Although the medication had its benefits, he discovered a more effective approach to managing tasks—creating lists and breaking down responsibilities into manageable steps. This realization became a cornerstone of his philosophy at Michi Wellness, emphasizing the importance of tailored, step-by-step solutions.

 Han's educational background in industrial design added a unique layer to Michi Wellness. The degree not only equipped him with a systematic approach to problem-solving, testing, and refining solutions but also encouraged creativity. This creative outlook became instrumental in shaping the vision of Michi Wellness, moving beyond conventional labels and embracing a holistic, individualized approach.

 While formal training at the Memorial Hermann School of Massage provided the necessary license, Han's true education came from an insatiable curiosity. Asking questions, observing other therapists, and seeking guidance from mentors became integral to his ongoing journey of improvement.

 The holistic approach adopted at Michi Wellness reflects Han's realization that well-being is intricately connected to various aspects of life. It's not just about addressing physical concerns but untangling the complexities that accumulate over time. The philosophy of 'one thing at a time' guides the therapeutic process, acknowledging the interconnectedness of individual issues and the collective impact of addressing them systematically.
